Anna Squires Levine

President, Industrious

She’s Cracking the Code to Coworking Success

While its coworking competitors have struggled in recent years, Industrious has quietly continued to expand to more than 200 locations across 10 countries, thanks in part to the efforts of Anna Squires Levine, who was named President in 2024 after nearly a decade with the flexible workplace provider. She was instrumental in shaping the company’s commercial strategy after the pandemic, overseeing sales, operations, marketing, product, and member experience. She also led the company’s shift toward neighborhood and mixed-use locations, with 70% of new openings outside of traditional business districts — helping solve the hybrid work challenge by meeting people where they live. Since 2021, Industrious has more than doubled its memberships and sustained 50% annual growth. In January, commercial real estate giant CBRE bet big on the company, acquiring it for approximately $400 million, bringing the company’s total valuation to $800 million. Beyond business efforts, Squires Levine also launched Powering Purpose, which provides $2 million of free workspace annually to nonprofits in more than 30 cities across the United States, Canada, and the UK.
