2025 Winner

April Miller Boise
Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, Intel Corporation
She’s Helping Intel Lead the U.S. Chips Race
The United States currently makes zero of the world’s leading-edge semiconductor chips and, in an uncertain era where AI is fueling an ever-growing demand for the hardware, that puts the country at a distinct disadvantage. But Intel is on it, thanks in part to April Miller Boise. Since joining the company in 2022, she’s been a part of the executive team responsible for transforming the company from a pure chip designer into a leading chip designer and manufacturer. She played an instrumental role alongside policymakers and regulators in Washington in the passage of the CHIPS Act, which allocated $53 billion in federal incentives for domestic semiconductor manufacturing and research. Through her work, in 2024 Intel was awarded an $8.5 billion CHIPS grant, allowing the company to expand its domestic manufacturing of leading-edge semiconductors across four U.S. states, including Oregon, Arizona, New Mexico, and Ohio. These investments and others by Intel will support 10,000 company jobs, nearly 20,000 construction jobs, and more than 50,000 indirect jobs with suppliers and supporting industries.
