Meet the Marketing Exec Behind 2024’s Best Ad Campaign
When actor and comedian Michael Cera starred in a 2024 Super Bowl commercial for CeraVe, claiming to have created the dermatologist-approved skincare brand, the hilariously offbeat ad earned rave reviews from viewers and marketing professionals alike. The commercial was the culmination of a weeks-long campaign using influencers and “leaked” photos to cook up a conspiracy theory that Cera really had developed the L’Oréal-owned brand — an effort that was so successful it resulted in 15.4 billion impressions before the ad even aired. Overseeing this award-winning marketing is Audrey Dorfman, who worked her way up at L’Oréal before taking over management of the CeraVe brand globally in 2022. Dorfman’s deft maneuvers have helped CeraVe become a cult favorite on TikTok with everyone from Vogue editors to beauty influencers, making it Amazon’s top-selling beauty brand of 2024. In May 2025, K18 Hair announced she would be joining its team as Chief Marketing Officer.
