She Is Spearheading Belkin’s Shift to Sustainability

As Vice President of Communications and Corporate Development at Belkin, Jen Wei has led the brand’s global PR and communication strategy for more than eight years but, in 2024, she spearheaded the company’s boldest sustainability transformation to date. Along with CEO Steve Malony, she co-founded and led Belkin’s Executive Sustainability Committee, catalyzing a shift to post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials across 359 products. Under her leadership, Belkin replaced 432 metric tons of virgin plastic, updated many of its top-selling chargers and cables with up to 90% PCR content (certified by the Global Recycling Standard) and eliminated plastic from packaging. These efforts helped the company achieve 100% carbon neutrality across Scope 1 and 2 emissions in early 2025 and are projected to reduce Belkin’s product-related CO2-equivalent emissions by up to 84.8%. Wei’s efforts prove that sustainability and growth can go hand in hand: This year Belkin surpassed 1 billion products sold.
