She’s Championing Creators — And Redefining How Brands Use Social Media

Jo Cronk isn’t just shaping the creator economy — she’s driving the creator revolution. Since joining Whalar in 2018, she’s been the catalyst behind the global creator company’s meteoric rise in North America, growing her team from seven to 65 employees and landing major clients like Amazon, Google, Estée Lauder, NFL, and Spotify. The company partners with social media influencers to generate culturally relevant campaigns for major brands and, in 2024 alone, it executed more than 400 campaigns across 40+ markets in 15+ languages, with Anthropic, Apple, Mozilla, Waymo, and more. Under her leadership, Whalar has won 135 industry accolades, including a coveted spot on the 2025 Ad Age A-List. Cronk’s success comes from her unwavering support for creators, who become key brand stakeholders for Whalar’s clients, embedded in focus groups, strategy sessions, and product development.
