Kristine Martin Anderson
Chief Operating Officer, Booz Allen Hamilton
The COO Getting Results by Putting People First
When Kristine Martin Anderson was named COO at Booz Allen Hamilton in 2022, she was tasked with accelerating operational performance and transforming the consulting giant’s business model in collaboration with leaders across the firm. At the time, she was a 16-year veteran of the company and had spent years leading its civilian and health businesses, so she was well positioned to know exactly what the company’s 35,000-strong workforce needed. She was instrumental in reimagining Booz Allen’s post-pandemic work approach — the Flex for Success model that launched last year and offers flexibility in office and client spaces while preserving cultural connections. In 2024, she also championed its corporate AI agenda, which included developing a tool that improves candidate-role matching and reduces application-to-screening time by 37%. This allowed managers to fill positions faster, enabling Booz Allen to hire 1,800 people. These innovations, along with a growth strategy focused on operational excellence, drove multiple quarters of double-digit growth and helped the company end 2024 with $2.92B in quarterly revenue, a 13.5% year-over-year increase.
