Social Sports Are Booming. She’s Making It Happen

As Co-Founder and CRO of Volo Sports — the nation’s largest co-ed adult social sports organization — Lindsay Honorof is redefining what it means to play. In 2024, she led Volo to a 12% year-over-year leap fueled entirely by organic growth. She capitalized on the pickleball boom, driving an 816.5% spike in that product line since 2022, and grew subscription revenue by 66.7% through targeted acquisition strategies and richer member perks. As the demand for flexible fitness options increased, Honorof expanded one-off formats like pickups and clinics, a move that boosted registrations by 39.6%. She was also instrumental in launching five new Club Volo venues, unlocking fresh revenue streams in rentals, events, and food and beverages. By driving innovation in both Volo’s programming and tech — including new app features like team chat and a court rental tool — Honorof continues to shape the future of social sports, and not just for grownups. Funded by its adult programs, the Volo Kids Foundation provided 24,000 children with access to free sports in 2024.
