As the AI Landscape Takes Shape, She's Making Sure Women Have a Place In It
A Founding Partner at Pierson Ferdinand, a law firm serving more than 20 markets in the United States and UK, Maryam Meseha knows what it’s like to be the only woman at the table. As the Co-Chair of the Privacy and Data Security group, she leads a multidisciplinary team of attorneys specializing in data privacy, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. That’s why she’s dedicated her career to making space for more women in fast-growing industries that are dominated by men, like AI and cybersecurity. In addition to personally mentoring women in tech and law, she has played a pivotal role in connecting women with mentorship and funding opportunities to advance their careers. She is a vocal advocate for equitable AI development and policies that protect women in the workforce, and she has collaborated with companies to develop AI strategies that prioritize diversity and mitigate bias. In recognition of her contributions, she was named one of the 50 Most Influential Women of 2024 by North Carolina Lawyers Weekly.
