How This Executive Is Fostering Philanthropy in Hollywood and Beyond
Rene Jones has been inspiring meaningful social engagement for decades, fostering a culture of philanthropy within UTA as well as guiding its high-profile clients in making their own meaningful social impact. In addition to founding the UTA Foundation, which has been assisting nonprofits and raising awareness for social causes for more than two decades, she has created several signature employee engagement programs, including Project Impact, a global volunteer day involving 2,000 employees, and Live Inspired, which offers a paid sabbatical for employees to pursue philanthropic goals. Jones and her team have helped their clients with more than 300 social endeavors, including supporting Paris Hilton’s advocacy to pass the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act and facilitating Michael J. Fox’s receipt of the Elevate Catalyst Prize for his contributions to Parkinson’s disease research. In addition to her work with UTA, Jones is on the Advisory Committee for Hollywood & Mind along with the Kids Mental Health Foundation. She also was appointed by the governor to California’s Volunteer Commission, which encourages service and action in the community.
