She’s Using AI To Revolutionize Preventative Mental Health Care for Moms
Jane Yan joined telehealth startup LunaJoy just last year, but in that short time she has already spearheaded an AI-driven initiative to revolutionize national preventative mental health care. The program promotes whole-population screening, particularly for prenatal and postnatal women, using advanced technology for more efficient screenings. The initiative is helping to elevate healthcare standards nationwide, driving LunaJoy’s already impressive growth. The Y Combinator-backed startup provides mental health therapy, counseling, and medication management for women, and counts Cigna, Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, and more among its customers. It just wrapped up a $4.2 million funding round. Yan’s fast success makes sense given her resume; before joining LunaJoy, she was the Co-Founder and COO of Pria, which helps provide health-at-home solutions for chronic care management. At Pria, Yan helped create a health care assistant device in just eight months that was quickly acquired by Stanley Black & Decker.
