This CHRO Is Making Hilton the World’s Best Workplace With a Culture of Caring
For Laura Fuentes, empathy is personal. Originally from Spain, the Hilton executive spent much of her life living and traveling around the world, first with her family and later for work. She saw firsthand how empathy for people from different backgrounds could help build connections — knowledge she brings into her role as CHRO. Fuentes and her team at Hilton are behind the company’s innovative Care for All platform, which helps employees care for themselves and family members (including furry friends). This includes no-cost access to Wellthy, a caregiving concierge service, as well as manager training on supporting caregiving employees and a new caregiving hub where team members can find articles, podcasts and online courses about care for children, elderly adults and pets. Under her leadership, Hilton has been named the No. 1 World’s Best Workplace by Fortune and, for the second year running, has been recognized as a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion.
